I tried something different on this one, going back to a looser, more expressive drawing style, like I used in my early iPad caricatures. It's a change in direction influenced by an amazing artist I discovered recently, Thomas Fluharty. I feel more excited about drawing than I have in a while.
I thought I would also share a video showing my process (here). I more or less followed Thomas Fluharty's "blind-contour-not-really" technique, which means I just picked a spot to start drawing, without planning it out, just drawing what I see in the reference photo.
